Description
This workshop, delivered by author and memoir editor Marguerite Richards, is designed for anyone inspired to write a book about their lives. We will answer the doubts that often deter people from writing their personal stories and discuss the structure of a traditional memoir, the age-old hero’s journey concept as a template, and how memoir differs from autobiography.
With your peers, we will work on your memoir’s thesis statement which will serve as a roadmap for writing your book. This approach is meant for beginners, to learn some rules to rely on, before learning how to break them.
No pressure if your memoir’s focus is still undefined; this workshop is your playground. Let’s enjoy it.
