About the Authors
Graham Bartlett
Graham Bartlett, former chief superintendent and divisional commander of Brighton and Hove police, is an accomplished author. Collaborating with bestselling author Peter James, his books Death Comes Knocking and Babes in the Wood soared to the Sunday Times Top Ten. Continuing the series, Bartlett released Bad for Good, Force of Hate, and City on Fire in March 2024, all featuring Chief Superintendent Jo Howe. Beyond writing, he serves as a police procedural and crime advisor, lending authenticity to numerous authors and TV writers seeking accuracy in their work.
Amanda Lees
Amanda is the author of The Crime Dictionary, From Aconite To The Zodiac Killer and the bestselling WW2 spy thriller series: The Silence Before Dawn, Paris At First Light, The Midwife’s Child, The Paris Spy’s Girl, If I Can Save One Child (2024), along with contemporary and YA fiction and non-fiction. She is currently working on a new psychological thriller as well as a spy series. Amanda has a degree in drama and her first TV job was as the Communist Resistance in ’Allo ‘Allo. She was elected to the board of the Crime Writers Association in 2024.

Chris Connel boasts a rich career spanning over three decades as both an actor and television presenter. His impressive TV and film resume includes roles in iconic shows like Heartbeat, Emmerdale, and Coronation Street, as well as notable appearances in films like Goal and Purely Belter. On stage, he’s graced Broadway and The National Theatre, starring in acclaimed productions such as The Pitmen Painters and Brassed Off. Additionally, he’s lent his presenting talents to BBC North East and Cumbria, further solidifying his versatile contributions to the entertainment industry.
