Dr Austin Tiffany

Dr Austin Tiffany is a Senior Director at the Good Faith Partnership, where he leads on a number of international projects in the Middle East, focusing on the rights of religious minorities, interfaith cooperation and freedom of religion or belief. Two of his current projects are directing the work of the Forum for Peace UK and AI Faith and Civil Society Commission. Austin holds a degree in Theology from Baylor University and a Masters and PhD in Sociology of Religion from the University of Cambridge.

About the Speakers

Zeshan Zafar

Zeshan Zafar is the Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Forum For Peace and the Chair of the UK Forum For Peace. He has spent his career bringing together individuals from multi-disciplinary backgrounds in the pursuit of promoting dialogue and collaboration, and now focuses on how this can be brought to the UK. Born and raised in Wales, Zeshan Zafar is passionate about strengthening the ethos of the British Muslim community to which he belongs. As well as being an active voice in this context, he has also played a key role in the establishment of international initiatives including the Forum’s annual assemblies in Abu Dhabi, the historic Marrakesh Declaration, and the Alliance of Virtue.

Dr Nathan Mladin

Dr Nathan Mladin is part of Theos, a think tank committed to exploring the place of religion in society, through research, commentary and events. He holds a PhD in Systematic Theology from Queen’s University Belfast and is the author of several publications, including Theos reports Data and Dignity: Why Privacy Matters in the Digital Age, Religious London: Faith in a Global City (with Paul Bickley), and ‘Forgive Us Our Debts’: lending and borrowing as if relationships matter (with Barbara Ridpath).

Nicole Pearson

Nicole Pearson is a Senior Consultant at the Good Faith Partnership, where she works as secretariat for the AI Faith and Civil Society Commission. She is particularly interested in issues relating to diversity and discrimination, having founded a charitable project aimed at raising awareness about hate crimes during her studies.
