This immersive masterclass from award-winning children’s book illustrator and author, Chris Mould, will give you a unique insight into the creative process of illustration, from coming up with ideas and putting them on the page to designing eye-catching book covers.
The acclaimed Bradford-born illustrator is best known for his collaborations with the author, Matt Haig, including on A Boy Called Christmas and The Truth Pixie, and for his artworks for The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. He has also written and illustrated his own books, including the popular Pocket Pirates series inspired by The Borrowers.
This is your opportunity to pick up helpful tips and advice from a genuine master of his craft.
This event is open to adults and children 8+ years old. Please note that children under 16 will need to be accompanied by a ticket-buying adult.
About the Speaker
Chris Mould
Chris was born and raised in West Yorkshire where he still lives with his family. He is one of twenty studio artists at the prestigious Dean Clough Mills arts and business complex.
His work ranges from children’s publishing to theatre and film, having produced a long backlist of children’s titles, theatre posters, editorial cartoons for major newspapers and character development work for animated features.
He exhibits his artwork regularly, and commits to an ongoing programme of events.
