Our resources cover Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, which scaffolds and builds on curriculum learnings. Each lesson has been designed for a specific year group, but can easily be adapted for younger or older learners.
BLF’s Digital Education Programme currently includes nine lessons, with a collection of free resources available for each one. BLF’s Primary lesson topics are poetry (haikus and quatrains), story writing, and the language of Shakespeare. BLF’s Secondary lesson topics are descriptive writing, theatre production, persuasive writing, slam poetry, and George Orwell’s 1984.
Each lesson pack includes:
- A comprehensive lesson plan which includes national curriculum learning objectives, key vocabulary, timings, a resource list, and suggestions for future learning.
- An interactive, editable presentation with lesson objectives and engaging activities suitable for group work, paired work, or the whole class.
- Video presented by BLF artists, commissioned for the BLF Education Programme.
- Engaging classroom worksheets.
While some topics in our online library may overlap with BLF’s in-person Education Programme events, these resources are separate and can be used with or without attendance to BLF events. These free lesson plans are perfect for schools further afield who can now access BLF’s exciting programme online.
