Jonathan Deakin
Jonathan is a Partner at McKinsey & Co, where he serves financial services clients in the UK, Europe and USA on strategic and operational topics. In 2023, he co-led McKinsey’s pro bono work authoring a report on the impact of the UK arts sector, collaborating with 70+ institutions across the performing, screen, visual and literary arts. Jonathan started his career as a cellist, performing with orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia and as a chamber musician. Jonathan studied mathematics at Cambridge University and completed his studies as a cellist at the Royal Academy of Music at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.
