Aidan Enright

Aidan hails from Elphin, County Roscommon, Ireland, but lives in Saltaire on the outskirts of Bradford. As well as working as a Research Administrator at Leeds Beckett University, He is an historian of nineteenth-century Ireland and has published an award-winning book on the life of the Catholic Liberal MP and unionist, Charles Owen O’Conor (1838-1906). Broadly speaking, he is interested in liberal politics and political thought in Ireland and Britain, Irish and British imperial thinking and identities, and the political and cultural lives of the Irish in Britain.
