Lily Tharoor was born in a small village in Kerala in the mid-1930s. From this humble beginning, she would live around the world, raise three global citizens, and inspire multiple generations with her drive to learn and achieve. Fiercely independent and ambitious, she pushed her children to always think outside the box. The only ground firm enough to stand on, she told them, is the one written into existence by your own hand.

Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan
Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan is an award-winning voice-over artist, poet, editor, and author of a dozen works of fiction and nonfiction. She is also a former non-profit development professional who spent two decades as an advocate and fundraiser for persons with disabilities. Shobha won the 68th National Film Awards for Best Narration Voice Over for the film Rhapsody of Rains- Monsoons of Kerala in 2022. Shobha has published children’s books in India and the United States, and has been recognized with awards for many of them.

Dr Shashi Tharoor
Shashi Tharoor is a politician and award-winning author of 26 books of fiction and non-fiction. With a three-decade long career at the United Nations, he has served as a peacekeeper, refugee worker, and administrator at the highest levels, serving as Under-Secretary General during Kofi Annan’s leadership. Some of his popular books include Why I Am A Hindu, Inglorious Empire, and more recently Ambedkar: A Life.
Smita Tharoor
Smita Tharoor is a motivational keynote speaker and thought leader on the Unconscious Bias and how it influences all of us. Smita has spoken at conferences all over the world from Philadelphia to Penang with Berlin and Bangalore in the middle. She talks about emotional resilience, change management, leading in times of uncertainty and other similar topics all embedded by our unconscious bias. She is the co-founder of Culturelytics a company that uses artificial intelligence to understand culture in an organisation and the founder of Tharoor Associates a Training, Coaching and Organisational development company. She is a TEDx speaker, Broadcaster, Trainer, Coach, Mentor, Mindfulness Practitioner and Associate Lecturer. She also hosts a podcast Stories Seldom Told where she interviews people around the world to share their stories of Unconscious Bias.
